General Information:

Service:

  • We are meant to be a supplement, not an every meal resource. Unfortunately we do not have the funds or donations to be a full meal resource for all who come. That's why we understand clients going to other resources for assistance. Please be courteous to all of us volunteers and other families and we will make every attempt to be courteous and respectful to all of our clients as well. We do not like to ban people, but we will if someone is disrespectful or causing problems.

Smoking:

  • We kindly ask that you are not smoking, or vaping during distribution time.

Phone:

  • We kindly ask that you are not on your phone during distribution time.

Where is the pantry located?

  • Inside the First Presbyterian church on Main Street, entrance is in the back of the building

Do I get to shop or is it pre-packaged?

  • It is pre-packaged, we bring the food directly to your vehicle

What do I need to sign up?

  • Photo ID of all adults
  • Social Security cards for all in home, if you are fostering bring your foster care paperwork.
  • Proof of residency for you & all adult members you are claiming.

Who does the pantry serve?

  • All residents of Franklin County

Can I register to other pantries as well?

  • Absolutely! We serve ALL residents of Franklin County, regardless if you are receiving additional support.

Do you serve the homeless?

  • Yes, homeless do not need ID, Social Security card, or proof of residency requirements.
  • Homeless are given easy to open foods, snacks and drinks.
  • Homeless can come every day we are open because they are not given as much as residential families and usually cannot carry that much.
  • Homeless may come every Tuesday and Thursday during regular distribution time.

How often can I come?

  • For clients with a residence you can receive services every other week.
  • You may switch days during that week (example; first time you come it's a Tuesday, 2 weeks later you can come on a Thursday of that second week.)
  • We are open Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30PM to 2:30PM.

Do you close?

  • Yes, during winter we close any time Union School District closes. Regardless if streets clear later that day, we will remain closed.
  • Occasionally we have to close in the summer due to heat warnings. Updates are always posted on this website and on our facebook page.

What holidays are you closed?

  • We are closed on Thanksgiving day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

How do I register for the Senior Box Program?

  • Currently there is a hold on accepting new clients to the monthly senior box program.
  • When we have an opening we will post on this website and our facebook page that a space is available.
  • You must meet an income and age criteria to be in the Senior Box program.

Do you help with rent, utilities and gas?

  • Unfortunately, currently our budget does not allow for us to help with any financial assistance.

Where do I park?

  • Please turn on Mulberry Street from Main Street (it's a one way street)
  • Pull close to the curb next to the church and slowly advance when the cars in front of you move forward.
  • If Mulberry is full DO NOT BLOCK Main Street
  • Pull around and idle/park on Mulberry Street next to White Rose/Hair Cut shop building, and cross over Main Street when it is safe and there is adequate room on Mulberry.

How do I tell you I'm there?

  • We have our own ID system. Once you are registered you will be given an ID card. DO NOT LOSE IT.
  • When you are waiting in line next to the church, a volunteer will come by and collect your ID.
  • When you advance forward, your cart of food will be brought out to you and your ID returned.
  • Please put your card away immediately so it is safely stored.

Can you load my food?

  • We unfortunately cannot load everyone's food. We are all retired, have health issues of our own and need you to bring help with you if it's needed.

Can you deliver?

  • Unfortunately due to safety concerns, we do not deliver.
